Das Kranzbach

Overview

A unique hotel built over a century ago as an English country house at the foot of the stunning Zugspitz mountain. Now, one of Germany's top wellness retreats.

Experience

Das Kranzbach is a place to step away from the noise, reconnect with oneself, and become more aware of what truly matters. In a world that moves fast, where we often don’t see what’s right in front of us, Das Kranzbach offers the clarity, space, and balance to reset.

Ethos

Everything is designed to be light, natural, gentle and intuitive, encouraging quiet moments of reflection, gentle exploration, and a deeper connection to oneself and the surrounding world.

SERVICES

Rooms & suites

Guest rooms in the main house feature chic mod-inspired furniture and bold choices in décor, while the newer rooms, with a crisp wood-and-glass motif, provide a more modern sensibility. Every room has a captivating view towards the romantic, protected valley, inviting guests into a secluded but welcoming world of their own.

Food

The culinary experience is rooted in local and organic products, enhanced by herbs from the garden, and all set against a backdrop of mountain views. Guests enjoy a gourmet breakfast buffet with in-house bakery items and a juice bar; a light lunch with soups, salads, and a daily hot dish; and homemade cakes in the afternoon. Evenings feature a refined six-course menu with options for regional, fish, vegetarian, or vegan dishes, complemented by a salad and cheese buffet.

Spa

The spa is the crown jewel of the hotel: five pools, a half-dozen saunas and steam baths, and 27 treatment rooms for massages, cosmetic treatments and bath therapies. Wellbeing here is not about self-improvement or achieving something, it’s about slowing down, disconnecting, and arriving fully in the present to be connected with one’s self and the surroundings.

Adventures

Das Kranzbach is like living outdoors, only a lot more comfortable. Admire the Wetterstein and Zugspitz mountain views with snow capped peaks throughout the winter, or take a walk in hilly meadows blossoming with wild flowers during the summer months.

Member Vision

"To provide an intuitive environment that fosters clarity and balance, gently guiding guests towards self-connection without ever prescribing their journey. Ultimately, we want Das Kranzbach to be a space where every guest finds precisely what they need to reset and fully embrace the beauty around them, on their own terms."

David Edinger

FERUS Vision

"To help Das Kranzbach achieve its transformation from a high-quality wellness hotel into a recognised international destination brand. We are defining a holistic, adult playground that is authentic to its DNA."
